Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season, filled with calorie-free cookies, fun, family, and friends! After two weeks off of the “day job” of teaching, I must admit that today was a bit of a struggle getting up again at the crack of dawn and having to get back in the swing of things.
We’ll get there, though.
Every year I try to make resolutions. I rarely stick to them. But this year will be different. (Stop laughing. It will be. Seriously.)
So, here’s my resolutions for this year. I’m keeping it to 3. Causethat seems manageable.

Every year I try to make resolutions. I rarely stick to them. But this year will be different. (Stop laughing. It will be. Seriously.)
So, here’s my resolutions for this year. I’m keeping it to 3. Causethat seems manageable.
- Write more. Getting married and learning to live with another person has made writing a more complicated process. This year, I’m going to set “writing hours” and stick to them. Luckily, my DH is great and will help make me stick to that.
- Go to the gym. I was actually doing this before the wedding. Then I slacked off. I need to do it again, not just because I want to lose weight. Also because it helps with my stress, and as this winter has proved, that is VERY important right now.
- Listen more. Complain less. I tend to be someone who needs to vent when stressed. I need to learn to channel that to other places and listen more to others.
In the meantime, I’ve got 10 days to finish my first round of edits for SUPERFREAK, I’ve got a school visit on the 16th, and there’s tons of stuff going on until about March.
GAH!
What are some of your resolutions this year?
