Time to Get It Together

Time to Get It Together

Summer is quickly approaching, and that means I’ve been SUPER busy with the “day job” – which is teaching. Writing has taken a back seat, and I’m reminded YET AGAIN how hard it is to get back into the swing of writing everyday when I haven’t done it in a while.

This summer, I’m trying to get myself together and set a real schedule. Treat writing like an actual job. That being said, I’m putting it together now, so I can get used to that idea.

So.

Here’s my plan. My husband gets up for work at 5:30. (During the school year, I get up at 5, so I get to sleep in a half hour!) When he gets up, at least 3 days a week, I’ll drag myself out of bed and go to the gym first thing. Then I’ll come back, clean up, have breakfast and then write for a few hours. My goal is to get at least 2000 words a day in before I stop. If I’m really going good, then I can keep going. I have all day, so I may even try to work on one project in the morning and then switch gears after lunch.

We’ll see how things go. Somewhere in there will be some updating of blogs and social media. One of those is YouTube. I bit off more than I could chew when I started with YouTube before. I’d like to try again.

This is where you come in.

What things do you love to see your favorite authors talk about on YouTube?

Here’s one of the funniest videos from my previous YouTube experiment. I think the bestie and I had a little too much fun with this.
